I was thinking today that if you were to buy someone a box of chocolates to say thank you or happy birthday or something would it be rude to buy a cheap brand? Like budget or Signature Range or something. Would they think that you thought that they weren't worth the extra $1 or would they think 'it is the thought that counts'. Being a chocolate lover myself I would prefer a box of high quality Cadbury chocolates rather than the cheaper brands. Or am I just a chocolate snob? Anita posted at 4:43 pm |

I'm not sure it would be rude. But I'm not sure I'd buy cheap chocolates for anyone but myself.

I'd go for buying the more expensive type. Well, actually, maybe not the ultra expensive type, but not budget, really cheap stuff. Something that they will appreciate.
If you're going to splash out and buy someone something, you may as well get quality.
(For students, those on limited budgets, cutting back on quantity can allow for quality without excessive cost)
