We went to a Youth service last night hosted by Providence. It was really great! So many incredibly talented young people who love the Lord using their gifts. The singing was great and so many different genre's of music, rap, Hip Hop and the regular stuff, all used to get the message through to the kids there. Three different guys spoke including Hamish and all three where really great. It all spoke to me about the need to stop quibbling over desk and chairs etc and realise that our youth are our future and they need help to stay to the straight and narrow. God is good and I am more convinced that ever that he is building His church in NZ.

Alex is right, there are bigger fish to fry, right on our back door. What will we do? Blame the government and the lack of this and that or roll up our sleeves and do something?

Agreed.

Rolling up our sleeves and doing something should not only include speaking the gospel, but also doing the gospel. Jesus spokes the gospel - but he also did it.

We also should be involved in both these areas. And this does include dealing to an unrighteous government. Obviously it should not be left there - but we cannot ignore it.

You missed a good video at Covenant last night which explained this relationship.
