Well for some reason I didn't really expect my catfood post to generate such intense debate. I supppose it was a bit naive of me but now I have learn a little bit about evolution and what people believe about it.

BIg thanks goes out to Daniel Willis for his most excellent skills in fixing my pretty blog! Thanks heaps Dan:):)

In other news I am back to not knowing who I am going to vote for. I don't know about others but it is all a little bit confusing. United future was the go until they bumped Bernie Oglivey and Paul Adams down their list so based on last years result they won't be in parliament.

Today the Sunday Star times publishes the resuls of their morality survey which 10,000 kiwis filled out. Should be very interesting.

Till next time -say hi to your Mum for me.

P.S Nathan next time your are up in Auckland I look forward to chatting to you about the previous issue:)

Cool thanks! I didn't disbelieve you, I just couldn't find anything on the Herald site

Yeah i have decided that the issue of who to vote for in this election is the dilemma of the year quite frankly...

By Blogger Priscilla, at 5:19 pm, August 16, 2005

Vote National.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:22 pm, August 16, 2005

Don't vote National- they are no less morally corrupt than Labour!

By Blogger Anita, at 8:57 am, August 17, 2005

I disagree Anita! I think they are less morally corrupt - or at least the people voting for them are..... see the old survey done by Sunday Star Times.

But on this I do agree - Don't vote National!

By Blogger Scotty, at 9:25 am, August 17, 2005

Well which one it it scott? Who cares what the people who vote for them think? It only matters what National is like and I don't think they are better then Labour!

By Blogger Anita, at 12:27 pm, August 17, 2005

Anita... The quality of the Voters is very indicative of the party...

The majority of CHP voters would be Christians

The majority of Greens supports would be tree huggers or pot smokers.

What the Party stands for is what attracts the voters. As Labour has low moral standards the voters it attracts also have low moral standards. National attracts voters of higher moral standard. Not the highest, but higher. This would suggest that the Party itself also has a higer moral standing.

^ I like how you put that Jono. but yeah i am starting to think more CHP now for my vote but please note i havent finally decided just yet. Besdies NZ is only gonna get worse whether Labour or National is in (and it will be only either of those 2 parties unless they form a coalition like greens-labour or Nz1st-National)- you can argue all you like as to what degree this country will get worse with either Labour or National in power, but that doesnt change the fact that sadly and inevitably things are only gonna go downhill from here (like so many other Western countries these days) unless there is a big spiritual revival in NZ. Its also about time we had a decent Christian party in parliament...

I smoke pot.

Every time I try to make custard, the bottom of the pot gets irrepairably black, and the whole house smells of smoke for quite some time after.

And it's CHNZ, people, not CHP.

Simply becasue Labour are worse, doesn't make National good - see this article.

By Blogger Dan, at 8:21 am, August 18, 2005

Dan- you need to make custard in the microwave. Then you won't need to smoke pot anymore

By Blogger Anita, at 8:51 am, August 18, 2005

Ah, phew... I was trying to find a way to not have to vote Greens. Cheers!

By Blogger Dan, at 10:53 am, August 18, 2005

my bad...just outta interest, when did CHP change its name to CHNZ? ages ago or awhile ago?

By Blogger Priscilla, at 2:19 pm, August 18, 2005

A long time ago - a couple of years, at least.

By Blogger Dan, at 2:29 pm, August 18, 2005

hmm ok. obviously the media didnt take much notice of or mention the name change then...im pretty sure they still refer to it as CHP anyway (correct me if i'm wrong tho :))

By Blogger Priscilla, at 1:44 pm, August 20, 2005

Some may incorrectly refer to it as CHP, but much of the media I've seen lately is calling it 'CH'.
