The fireworks debate will continue- I have had some more thoughts on this. Particularly after it was suggested I was whinging. Gee- if you can't express the unhappiness of being woken up at 3am, when you are pregnant (and have to get up get a drink, go to the loo and try ignore the nausea to get back to sleep) by someone being inconsiderate when can you! I can sympathize - last week I was kept awake for an hour or so (after my ill discipline meant going to bed at 1), mostly as a result of a house alarm going off. I certainly spent some time lamenting this fact, and attempting to come up with a solution to this problem.
If you do come up with a reasonable solution that would stop stuff like this, that'd be awesome. But I don't know if we will.

I have a solution. I've used it for years.
Earmuffs/buds. Either the garden type earmuffs or the rock stage security type foam ear plugs (via bryan from red badge security lol). You get used to sleeping with them fairly quickly.

Is it really a debate worth pursuing?

Not at all

The reason this is not a debate worth pursuing is not because of the seriousness of the matter!
Both sides have laid out their arguements... and as far as I know noone has moved from their position.
There's no point in Christians then continuing in a public display of argument which will no doubt get more and more personal.
Lets just quit while we all still have some dignity!
