Pregnancy is a funny thing. Having people comment on your physical appearance is funnier. For weeks I have had people say 'your tummy isn't very big'. Being a paranoid first-time Mum you start to worry Baby Mac isn't growing. Today I got my first 'my goodness you are big for 23 weeks'. Being a paranoid first-time Mum you start to worry Baby Mac is going to be 10 pounds!!!. As a women it is strange to find yourself in a position where people have no problem commenting on and touching your body. Such things where taboo to do and say to before I was pregnant. Anyway, this is not a moan by the way. Just a comment on my experience. I have also should state that if you know me outside of work then you are welcome to comment away and pat my tum!!!! There is something uncomfortable about people you pretty much only know in a professional environment touching and commenting on you at work. 2 commentsAnita posted at 4:01 pmThursday, January 19, 2006 Interesting to hear that Parachute Music Festival is advertising on ZM. ZM is promoting Parachute, giving away passes and a prime campsite at Parachute. See THERE. So does that mean that Christianity has gone mainstream or has Mainstream gone Christian? 29 commentsAnita posted at 8:36 amWednesday, January 11, 2006 More interesting things on the back of cat food! You might remember this post on 4th August which generated a staggering 102 comments. Anyway Hamish brought some Purina One Cat Chow (don't know why- Madden doesn't normally get fancy pants cat food) On the back they are advertising Purina Cat Chow Way of Life Expereince- mentors available one on one through a webiste and 0800 number to help you understand the physical health and emotional wellbeing of your cat. Emotional wellbeing of your cat??? Is it me or does this seem a little OTT? 2 commentsAnita posted at 4:09 pmWednesday, January 04, 2006 Happy New Year!! Welcome to 2006. The year of the Baby for us. My Dad started to call our baby Baby Mac. This is a good name because we don't know it's gender, although strongly suspect it is a girl. I had to smile when I saw a McDonalds ad on TV promoting their new product- Baby Macs (a mini verision of a Big Mac). Baby Mac is quite the acrobat, it is quite strange having another person moving around inside you! Strange in a very cool way. 0 commentsAnita posted at 3:20 pm |
